Summit Park Line founder looks ahead to next phase of rail trail

The Summit Park Line opened in 2017.

In 2017, the first phase of the Summit Park Line opened, becoming New Jersey latest rail trail along the former corridor of the Rahway Valley Railroad. With two more phases in the works, the Summit Park Line Foundation’s founder Dr. Robert Rubino talks to the Orange Branch Historical Society about how he managed to do it without costing taxpayers any money. In fact, he launched the project in the year of a municipal tax cut.
